Pointing Generations to Jesus


Sunday morning, 9:30am, the building comes alive with fellowship as  Life Groups meet, before you know it Worship Service is about to begin at 10:45am with singing, prayer, and teaching from the Word of God! Afterwards grab lunch with a friend, new or old, or connect with people near you in our Supper groups, come for a fun event, and Wednesdays (sept.-may) seek a greater knowledge of God in Life University! 

For Kids

Our children's ministry is dedicated to a fun and age-appropriate teaching time about Jesus while Life Groups meet (Sunday, 9:30am) - during service all kids kindergarten and up join in congregational worship and teaching!


For Youth

6th-12th grade Life Groups (Sunday 9:30am) meet in age and gender specific groups where you can make true friends, meet amazing mentors, and ask questions while learning how to live your faith!


For adults

If you're 20 or 90 years old, or anywhere in between, there is gospel community pursuing Christ and forming relationships during and beyond Sunday morning. Click more to find a group that is right for you!


Frequently asked questions

  • We are located at 735 Park Street, Charlottesville VA, 22902. In other terms, inbetween Barracks and Pantops, off 250, and 2 minutes from the downtown mall.


  • You will find plenty of parking on our campus, disability parking on the front right and behind the building, expectant mothers parking on the front left (in front of the childrens building), and plenty more spots on their side of and behind the building.

  • Worship service is on Sunday at 10:45am, which is also available by livestream! We also gather Wednesday evenings at 6pm (September-May only) for a more in depth teaching time called Life University.

  • We invite you to join in singing praise, but there is no requirement! You will also not be called out, asked to stand, or given a badge- we take a more personal approach by greeting all people, and we encourage our guests to visit the welcome tent where people are excited to meet you, answer any questions, and have a small gift for you as well!

  • There’s no specific dress code at FBC. So, you’re welcome to dress however you’re most comfortable! You’ll see everything from “Sunday best” to casual among our adult congregants. Kids and youth usually wear whatever they would normally wear to school.

  • You will see a church that points generations to Jesus, the only way to God. You will find a church that believes every word He wrote in His Word, the Bible. Our teaching is also consistent with the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message which simply provides more details and scripture refernces on the foundational truths we believe and how it impacts the Christians worldview. 

  • You can worship with us on Sunday, come to learn Wednesday evening, and participate in the fellowship and encouragement of a community seeking to do life together, with purpose, to God's glory.

  • Teenagers are invited to Park Street Youth Ministry (PSYM) which meets Sundays 9:30, and worships with the congregation during the worship service.

  • You can bring your children to FIRSTkids, our children's ministry, at 9:30. All children kindergarten and older join the church family for worship and service at 10:45am - while preschoolers have their own teaching time. Pathways, our special needs ministry, provides a trained buddy during the service so your child or young adult with a disability can join us as well.

  • Those with special needs are more than welcome at First Baptist Park Street. You can connect with our Pathway Special Needs Community, which uses a buddy system to work with people with disabilities so they and you find community, learn more about the gospel, and are able to join in the service. 

  • You can speak to one of the friendly greeters in the lobby, and you will be provided a hearing assistance device.
